Dr. Miller is a board-certified general surgeon and hospice & palliative medicine specialist with additional fellowship training in clinical medical ethics. The intersectional inequities that she has faced during her 20-year career, have inspired and informed Physician Just Equity advocacy work.
Dr. Miller believes it is imperative that physicians and surgeons who experience bias, bullying, harassment and discrimination be supported when navigating difficult workplace conflicts in toxic workplace environments. A thriving diverse workforce is critical to achieving optimal population health.
